Mural: FIFA World Cup Russia 2018™

Hey everone!

This year we decided to revamp the "English Speaking countries around the world" mural into something even more cool: The FIFA World Cup Russia 2018™.

This year it features all of the 32 countries taking part in it. Each country and flag is located in the map. Each flag (designed by cicle inicial and cicle mitjà students) contains information about the participation of each country in the tournament (researched and written down by the cicle superior students).

It also features a supporters' gallery with flag facepainting of the 32 countries, arranged in alphabetical order. Can you recognize the countries as well as who is who?

Don't forget to support your favourite team this summer during the competition!
You can paint your face at home too and become super fan!

Farewell!

Famous people in history

Hi everyone!

Did you ever notice the mural located in the corridor leading to the English classroom?
It talks about different personalities who went down in history like Leonardo da Vinci, Anne Frank, Johan Cruyff, Nelson Mandela, Michael Jackson, Neil Armstrong, Pablo Picasso, Elvis Presley, Antoni Gaudí...

We proudly present it to you:

This tree's leaves include positive words of hope of wisdom written by the nowadays 5th grade students.

The main English speaking countries in the world

Hi everyone!

We proudly present you this mural:

This world map shows the main countries where English is spoken. You can see their name and flag, know their capital and read curious facts hidden inside the flags. The continents and seas are also labelled.

All the primary students have collaborated to make it possible. Thank you everyone!
But six of them (one from each level) did a great job and won a flag facepaint.

This is our winners' hall of fame:

Arnau (1st grade) wears the Union Jack flag on his face (United Kingdom)
Érika (2nd grade)  is happy with her Ireland flag facepainting
Iker (3rd grade) proudly sports on his face the flag of Jamaica
Jun Hao (4th grade) is not shy to support Malta with his flag facepaint.
Nayara (5th grade) looks impressive with her Australia flag facepaint
Adríán (6th grade) looks super cool with his painted face. He is the USA flag.

See you in the next blog entry!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Today is St. Patrick's day, patron of Ireland.

This is the flag of Ireland:

The Irish flag is green, white and orange

This is our particular celebration of this famous festivity:

Three boys from 2nd grade (Pol, Álex and Álex) make the Irish flag using their jumpers

This cool boy is Samuel (3rd grade). He loves the Irish flag painted on his face

They all look fantastic!

Enjoy this day!

ENGLISH IS COOL

Hello everyone!
This is our new English mural:
The students and the English teachers have designed this superb mural that shows the flags of the UK and USA and a map of the British Isles.
There are two pictures of Danny and Doris "happy new year" greetings from "Cicle Inicial".
The coloured cards show the "What I like of you" activity, created by the "Cicle Superior" students.

The mural can be found in the "Cicle Mitjà" corridor, at the upper floor of the school's main building.

Thank you everyone for your collaboration!

And remember: Keep calm and study English ;)

FLAG FACEPAINTING CONTEST

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The winners

Alex (3B) proudly wears the flag of SCOTLAND
on his face as he shows the flags he drew.

Tiffany (3A) has the ENGLAND flag painted on her face.

The flag of the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND is shown on Nuria's face (3B)

Dani (3A) looks super cool sporting the Union Jack,
the flag of the UNITED KINGDOM on his face.
